Stewart Lander is Sr. Vice President, Director of Professional Development for Sequoia System International. In his role, Stewart is responsible for developing and executing on all programs designed to help financial advisors increase their productivity and efficiency. This will include programs designed to increase referrals utilizing a proven referral process, define and execute on high impact appointments and segment their book for efficient use of time and resources.

Stewart has 30 years experience in the financial services industry. Having started going door to door selling insurance where he learned about a strong work ethic with a positive mental attitude. Between 1986 and 1993, Stewart became an advisor and managed a bank program of advisors. In 1993, Stewart began a successful career as a wholesaler in NYC until 1998 when he was promoted to Divisional VP. Since then, Stewart has held positions as National Sales Manager and National Account Manager for the Bank, Wirehouse/Regional and Independent Distribution Channels.

Stewart's success was built on the foundation of bringing a value proposition whereby he helped others achieve their goals through education, training and professional development. He learned early how to maximize the use of his resources and make them available to his prospects and clients.

Stewart earned his Masters Degree from the University of Connecticut in Vocational Counseling. He holds his Series 6/7/26 and Life and Health Licenses. He also is trained in Process Management (Six Sigma), Leadership Training at GE and the Darden School of Business, Va. and has completed a series of seminars and workshops through Landmark Education over the last 18 years.

Stewart resides in Connecticut with his wife and has two children. He enjoys golf, baseball, music, traveling and most of all, spending time with family and friends.
