Additional Services
The key to success for every training program is determined by
the participants’ daily implementation of the ideas, processes
and systems taught as part of our curriculum. The manager, as
coach, becomes a key factor in sustaining this new learning and
in its successful implementation. We offer a number of additional
services that are designed to assess the core competencies of
your sales force, build a customized business development curriculum
and to reinforce the topics taught in the classroom. Pricing for
each service varies based on specific needs of a firm.
Core Competency Assessment
Drawing from our vast experience with distribution teams over
the past twelve years, we have developed a wholesaler assessment
tool that focuses on best practices and core competencies that
we believe this audience must possess in order to reach their
maximum potential and efficiency in the field. We have designed
a similar assessment tool that focuses on best practices and core
competencies for field sales management.
Once completed, our assessment tool accurately determines specific
core competencies that require improvement among the sample groups.
The data collected provides critical intelligence to Sequoia that
aids in the development of a highly customized professional development
curriculum designed for each audience, which ultimately maximizes
the benefits to your firm.
Overall, this process is conducted through an electronic communication
means. All responses are completely confidential, and individual
responses are viewed only by Sequoia personnel requiring the data
to perform the analysis.
The benefit of conducting a core competency assessment is that
it takes the guesswork out of the training. The assessment provides
specific intelligence about the training needs of the assessed
audience. Additionally, we provide a recommendation for a training
curriculum and plan based on the results of the assessment.
Speaking Engagements
Our facilitators have held numerous positions in financial services…from
financial advisors to wholesalers and sales executives. We have
planned meetings, facilitated meetings and workshops and we have
been keynote speakers at sales meetings, conferences and industry
events.
Whether you need to inspire an audience, address industry challenges
or opportunities, or simply offer a new twist to an old sales
technique, Sequoia can help. Our facilitators present on several
topics on raising efficiency and impact that can be tailored to
the theme of your meeting and to the needs of your organization.
Workshop Series
Sequoia Workshops are a series of sessions that hone in on one
or two specific topics taken from our vast array of curriculum,
such as interviewing advisors and defining your value proposition.
The sessions can be delivered separately or combined for maximum
impact. Sessions are flexible and range in length from 3 to 8
hours, depending on your needs. A sampling of topics includes:
• Presenting Value: Your Company, Your Product and You
• Interviewing Advisors: Finding Ways to Provide Value
• Meeting Objectives: Establishing What’s Next
• Managing Activity: Building Out a Plan
Additional topics can be selected from the vast array of content
within Sequoia’s professional development programs. Workshops
are an ideal solution for sales meetings and can be customized
by channel and by product line to focus on the needs of a firm.
Group Coaching
We offer group coaching as part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring
that the systems, processes and tools that we teach in the classroom
are being implemented in the field. The content and topics for
the coaching calls are designed with input from the participants,
their management and by the program facilitator. The calls are
led by the program facilitator and provide an opportunity for
your team to share what is working well and what specifically
they may find to be a challenge. Participants share best practices
and obtain feedback and recommendations from the facilitator on
overcoming such challenges.
